Susan Bee Walker inventor Peepsnake

All about the Mud It was a chilly fall day andI found myself running up and down the soccer field juggling my iPhone, keys, and lip balm. I was trying to capture a picture of my four year-old playing in a game when I dropped everything… on the muddy ground. My precious, and expensive phone that holds all my contacts, calendar, and lots of photos of my three boys. I thought there has to be a better way– How to carry all my items without lugging or keeping up with a purse?

Accidental Inventor  Moving along, raising and organizing kids, and devoted to my iPhone to keep it all going, I spent the winter altering my accessories to fit into my touchscreen lifestyle. I began cutting and sewing, and this coming from someone who barely knew how to sew on a button. Serendipitously, my husband said, “You do realize this is how new products are born? If you have a problem, chances are other people share the same problem.” In between carpooling and casseroles, I hadn’t thought of that.

Intentional Entrepreneur  Susan Bee Walker is “a graphic designer by trade, an inventor by observation, and entrepreneur by hard work.” She was a stay-at-home mom for thirteen years before muddy drop. This girl does not leave home without lipstick, earrings, and…of course, her iPhone.

Beyond any Doubt  After years and thousands of hours of research and development, prototype sewing, product and market testing, patent-writing, trademarking, and learning the manufacture business, we are thrilled to celebrate the creation and evolution of the techwearables brand Peepsnake with The Smartphone Scarf.*
